SPI SOUTHERN REGION

SPI South Mission

The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc., (SPI) established its Southern Regional Office in March 1996 in an effort to bring the trade association’s resources to its constituents in the states of Arkansas, Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Competitiveness Tools

SPI South is committed to offering value to SPI members by providing the Southern region plastics industry with the competitiveness tools they need to succeed in the global market place. In order to enhance the profitability of members, SPI South provides the Southern plastics industry with opportunities to:

  • Interface with governmental bodies;
  • Network with plastics industry peers;
  • Train employees through seminars and workshops on the latest trends in plastics processing technology and business management; and
  • Create a positive image of the plastics industry.

Regulatory & Legislative Monitoring and Grassroots Lobbying

SPI South works closely with staff at SPI’s headquarters in Washington, DC to generate grassroots support for SPI initiatives throughout the Southern region. The groups work together to educate state and federal legislative and regulatory bodies about issues that impact the plastics industry. The regional office keeps the Southern plastics industry abreast of the association’s programs and issues management activities through its electronically delivered newsletter, SPI South Regional Report, and Grassroots Alerts. Both members and non-members are welcome to receive the SPI South Regional Report and Grassroots Alerts. To request a subscription, please click here to send us your contact information.
