who we are

The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc., (SPI) established its Southern Regional Office in March 1996 in an effort to bring the trade association’s resources closer to its members in the states of Arkansas, Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

SPI South is committed to offering value to SPI members by providing the Southern region’s plastics industry with opportunities to:

  • Interface with state governmental bodies;
  • Network with plastics industry colleagues; and
  • Forge mutually beneficial alliances with other state and local business and manufacturing organizations throughout the South.

SPI South works closely with SPI’s headquarters in Washington, DC to generate grassroots support for SPI initiatives throughout the South. The groups work together to educate state and federal legislative and regulatory bodies about issues that impact the plastics industry.

SPI South keeps the Southern plastics industry abreast of the association’s programs and issues management activities through its electronically delivered newsletter, SPI South Regional Report, and Grassroots Alerts. Both members and non-members are welcome to receive the SPI South Regional Reports. To subscribe, or for more information, please contact Pam Rastatter.
